Inspect the work behind better portfolio decisions.

A private equity operating toolkit for reporting, acquisitions, and practical improvement. Explore the numbers, introduce a failure, and see what needs review before a result can be used.

Every company, fund, and scenario in these tools is synthetic. The examples expose assumptions and calculations; they do not represent client results or benchmarks. No signup is required.

Inspect the formulas

Take the evidence into Excel.

The ungated workbook contains the same 48 company-quarter records and eight fund periods, quarter selectors, weighted margins, working-capital snapshots, source checks, NAV bridges, and performance multiples. Its formulas remain visible. Every record is synthetic; missing inputs and undefined ratios remain unavailable.

From an example to your implementation

Give the first project a clear boundary.

1. Name the operating decision

Which report or workflow needs to improve? Name its owner, recurring deadline, current effort, and the consequence of an incorrect output.

2. Trace the data and review

Inspect a non-sensitive sample, definitions, source versions, access, and approval. Record discrepancies before proposing a platform change.

3. Build one accepted slice

Agree source mappings, exception behavior, tests, and a parallel reporting cycle. Preserve the existing workflow until the new output is accepted.

4. Measure and hand over

Compare the agreed baseline with observed results. Transfer calculation logic, operating instructions, and ownership with a bounded support scope.

For the data work, explore private equity data assessment, acquisition data integration, and portfolio performance analytics. For application work, explore Permadyn’s private equity software and AI services.

Read the method, then inspect the evidence.

Existing experience is documented separately in our anonymized finance and portfolio reporting account and healthcare reporting account. Toolkit published September 11, 2026.

Make the next improvement concrete.

Start with one output, its current sources, and the people who own the decision. Agree a useful assessment and the first implementation boundary.
